The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the promotion of four police cadre officials to the rank of Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG).
The promotion was made public on Thursday (October 30) through a circular issued by the Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The order was signed by Deputy Secretary Md. Mahbubur Rahman, acting on the command of the President.

The promotions involve officials from key operational and investigative wings of the police force:
• Md. Shahriar: Superintendent of Police, Anti-Terrorism Unit.
• Dr. Mohammad Abdul Kader: Superintendent of Police, Special Branch (SB).
• Md. Masum Billah Talukder: Special Superintendent of Police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
• Md. Jannatul Hasan: Additional DIG (Current Charge) at the Police Directorate.
Joining Directive
The circular mandates that the promoted officials must submit their joining letters for the newly assigned posts to the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs through proper channels. The order is issued in the public interest and is effective from the date they officially join their promoted posts.
