The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) held its Eighth Convocation today

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) held its Eighth Convocation today, marking a major milestone for its graduating students.

The grand ceremony took place at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre on Tuesday. The event was inaugurated and chaired by Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Advisor to the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, who attended as the representative of ULAB’s Chancellor.

The theme for this year’s graduation was inspiring and fitting: “Informed Minds, Inspired Paths.”

Highlights of the Ceremony

• Chief Speaker: The graduates were addressed by Syed Nasim Manzur, Managing Director of Apex Footwear Limited.

• Special Guest: Professor Dr. Mohammad Ayub Islam, a member of the University Grants Commission (UGC), graced the event as a special guest.

• University Dignitaries: Students also received well wishes from Syeda Madiha Murshed, a member of the ULAB Board of Trustees, and Professor Imran Rahman, the Vice-Chancellor of ULAB.

Recognizing Top Achievers

The day was filled with pride, especially for the top graduates:

  1. • The prestigious Valedictorian Award went to Tashin Huq, who graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and an impressive CGPA of 3.86.

• Two outstanding students, one from the undergraduate level and one from the postgraduate level, were also honored with Gold Medals.

The Graduating Class

In total, 1,508 students officially received their degrees. This graduating class included 1,111 undergraduate students and 397 postgraduate students.
