DB Police Detain Six More Awami League Activists for ‘Sudden Processions’ in Dhaka

The Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) has detained six more activists of the Awami League for their participation in “sudden processions” (jhotika michhil) in the capital.

Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division, confirmed the matter on Monday (November 3rd).

He stated: “DB has arrested six leaders and activists of the currently banned Awami League and its affiliated organizations who participated in sudden processions in the capital. Details regarding this will be provided later.”

Previously, these six leaders and activists of the Awami League and its affiliated organizations were arrested during raids in various areas of the capital on Sunday (November 2nd).
