Ishraque Hossain’s Statement

Ishraque Hossain wrote:

“Alhamdulillah. I have been nominated as the candidate for the ‘Sheaf of Rice’ symbol from the Dhaka-6 constituency (Sutrapur-Wari-Gendaria-part of Kotwali-part of Banshal) in the preliminary candidate list announced by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) for the upcoming 2026 National Parliamentary Election. All praise and gratitude belong to the Great Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.”

He extended his sincere gratitude and thanks to BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, Acting Chairman Deshnayak Tarique Rahman, the Secretary General, the Standing Committee, and party activists at various levels for his nomination.

He further wrote:

“I will work, Insha’Allah, to create a surge for the ‘Sheaf of Rice’ in Old Dhaka, gift this seat to the party, and campaign for other BNP candidates where necessary to ensure their victory. I am deeply satisfied and proud politically, as Deshnayak Tarique Rahman entrusts me directly with various responsibilities. I firmly believe that if we strengthen his hand, Bangladesh will remain secure. Therefore, I accept this opportunity not as an award, but as an extremely important responsibility.”

Ishraque Hossain concluded by requesting the cooperation of BNP activists and the general public:

“This responsibility, at a special moment in history, is deeply linked to changing the destiny of the soil and people of Bangladesh. I seek the cooperation of activists and the public to successfully fulfill this responsibility.”
