Shah Rukh Khan Misses Birthday Appearance, Promises Visit to Kolkata After Mamata Banerjee’s Wish
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 60th birthday on November 2nd. Fans and admirers from various corners of the world extended their wishes to the ‘King Khan’ on his special day.
Among the well-wishers was West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who posted a birthday greeting for Shah Rukh Khan on her social media handle ‘X’.
However, the star disappointed his fans and admirers that day. Fans were eagerly awaiting a glimpse of the King Khan on his 60th birthday, but Shah Rukh Khan did not appear in public due to security reasons. The actor later apologized for not meeting his fans.

In her social media post wishing Shah Rukh Khan, Mamata Banerjee wrote:
“Birthday greetings to my brother Shah Rukh Khan. Your contribution to Indian cinema is immense. May your acting career flourish even further.”
This affectionate message from his “Priya Didi” (Dear Elder Sister) did not escape Shah Rukh Khan’s attention. The King Khan responded to the Chief Minister’s birthday wishes, not only thanking her but also hinting at an upcoming visit to Kolkata.
Addressing Mamata Banerjee, Shah Rukh Khan wrote:
“Mamata Didi, thank you very much for wishing me. Wishing you all the best. I will come to Kolkata very soon.”
Following this comment from Shah Rukh Khan, his fans and admirers have begun counting the days. The actor used to be a regular presence at the inaugural ceremony of the Kolkata International Film Festival every year, but he has not been seen at the festival for the last few years due to various reasons.
