BCB to Host National

BCB to Host National ‘Bangladesh Cricket Conference’ on November 9-10

BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul has been striving since his first term to decentralize cricket from the capital and spread it to every district. He has launched various initiatives across the country. Now, Bulbul has announced an innovative new endeavor: organizing a ‘Bangladesh Cricket Conference’ to bring all cricket stakeholders from every corner of the country under one umbrella.

Bulbul made this announcement in a video message released by the BCB.

Bulbul said: “Cricket is spread across the 64 districts of Bangladesh, it is spread across the eight divisions. We want to know everyone, know Bangladesh cricket, bringing all our stakeholders—such as district cricket Presidents, district sports officers, district cricket coaches, district female entrepreneurs—under one roof, to learn what Bangladesh cricket needs. How can the Bangladesh Cricket Board help everyone? How can we all work together to advance Bangladesh cricket and involve everyone?”

Conference Details and Objectives

The conference is scheduled to be held on November 9th and 10th, with the venue set in Dhaka.

He added: “At the end of the day, we all play cricket in Bangladesh, and we enjoy cricket. The Bangladesh Cricket Conference is going to be held in Dhaka on November 9th and 10th. I hope we will make this conference successful, and through it, we will enrich Bangladesh cricket, get to know each other, and a new journey will begin from here.”

Bulbul views this as a platform for everyone to share their plans:

“The organizers of Bangladesh cricket are scattered. By bringing them under one roof, sharing the vision and mission of Bangladesh cricket with everyone, so that we can give our best, get to know everyone, and through this, how we can support and advance Bangladesh cricket—that is the goal of our Bangladesh Cricket Conference.”

The BCB President also intends to gauge the status of cricket in the districts and sub-districts through this conference.

He stated: “To understand the goal and vision of Bangladesh cricket, we must first know what kind of cricket is happening in the districts and sub-districts. After listening to the districts and sub-districts, and knowing how much the BCB can help from Dhaka, and how much strength the districts and sub-districts currently possess, we will fill the gap that remains. Through this, we will establish relationships, advance cricket, and everyone can enjoy cricket.”
