Man Arrested in Bengaluru for Stalking TV Actress, Sending Obscene Messages and Videos
Police have arrested a young man named Naveen on charges of stalking a television actress and sending her obscene messages and videos on social media. The victimized actress has filed a case at the police station regarding the incident.
According to an NDTV report, the incident took place in Bengaluru. Three months ago, the well-known actress, who works in the Telugu and Kannada television industries, received a friend request on Facebook from a user named ‘Naveen.’ She repeatedly ignored the requests and even blocked the TV star.
The accused subsequently created multiple accounts under different names and regularly began sending obscene messages and videos to the 41-year-old actress via Messenger, continuing his sexual harassment in various ways. According to the complaint, the arrested Naveen sent objectionable content in addition to the obscene messages from those IDs at various times.
On November 1st, when the accused Naveen messaged the actress again, she proposed meeting him in person. When the young man showed up, the actress asked him to stop and listen to her, but the accused refused.
Following the incident, Naveen was arrested and is currently in judicial custody. He was working as a delivery manager at a global technology recruitment company in Bengaluru, which has offices in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Zurich, Warsaw, and New York.
The actress has filed a case against the arrested Naveen at the police station, accusing him of sexual harassment and online abuse. The police are currently investigating the case.
